Friday, April 13, 2007 That's the pissed off part. . . The driving was mentally turned-off. . . Other than that, life was manageable, except for common stuffs like mosquitoes, having to eat lousy food, lack of sleep etc etc. . . But the gunners didn't have our kinda 'good life'. . .After hearing stories about what they did in the first mission, i watched with sympathy and a sense of guiltiness as they dismount my vehicle and engage on the second mission. . . I understand the feeling of having to travel miles with that two wretched missiles on your back. . . It's agonising, it's physically torturing. . . How can i be sleeping inside the vehicle while my platoon mates are suffering these pain of walking with such monster load. . . I'm really thinking of that. . . They had a sad sad life. . . For two of the missions they were covering miles on foot, took the speed boat, took the helicopter, and in the end, they never even really engaged on the enemy. . . It's screwed up and it's ridiculous. . . Imagine the situation when they even have to fight with the metador team to take down a target. . . Our presence were like reductant for this whole exercise, they had obviously not plan a way to utilise us. . . Pity the gunners, they had really suffered. . . Though most of them are slack in bunk, back in outfield, in mission they still managed to endure the pain and came back as one piece, great job. . . |
