Thursday, June 28, 2007 I'm so tired. . .!! Can't sleep in the day. can't sleep well in the night. . . haiz. . sucks. . .It's such a busy week. . . tomorrow's off will come as a deserving one. . . Drivers are the busiest people in spike platoon. . . they are the ones who did the most work. . . We really deserve something. . . one or two days off are not enough. . . PS said he understand and recognise all the hardwork we have been putting in. . . he promised he will give us offs. . . definitely more than the gunners. . . but how many. . .? PS said as far as he is concerned, he believes that spike platoon's drivers are the most competent in terms of operation maintenance in the entire company. . . I raised both my hands and shouted that i completely agree. . . I highlighted that we deserved more. . . I've got my corporal first class, so it doesn't matter much in terms of rank and pay wise. . . but for the rest of them, still a lance corporal, drawing a pathetic 550 pay. . . despite having to share the heavy workload. . . kinda not very fair, especially when pc had chose to promote quite a number of the gunners to corporal recently. . . so if sleeping in bunk and purely performing in the simple atec evaluation can earn promotion, pay rise and off days. . . simply we wouldn't mind a switch of role. . . i don't mind enduring a bit of hardships during exercise with the two missiles or weapon system on my back. . . anyway we are trained already. . This week's workload really take the toll out of us. . . Got our hands dirty with grease, sweating like crazy under the damned weather doing servicings, bring and preparing the vehicles for floatation test. . . If CSM can give excuse a day of sai gungs for chong hong and leslie for doing some work for him today, maybe he should give us excuse sai gung for a couple of months consider the work we had done so far. . . that was what jerome said. . . Tired. . . this off is hard earned. . . entire morning and noon we have been doing the armour only sai gung. . . clearing mud sludge accumulated at the washing bay as well as cleaning the road which has been covered with soils from outfield. . . dirty job. . . you sweep, you clean, you wash, you dig and you pour. . . doing it after the 4.2km battalion run and under the burning hot sun. . . . the whole company was doing it and it somehow felt like a company cohesion, cohesion doing sai gung. . . anyone can guess how pathetic it was. . . |
