Tuesday, August 28, 2007 i don't have much time left. . gonna leave home to book in back to camp in a couple of minutes time. . .only a half day off, today, until 1300, for all the amount of things we did in ahm. . . it was not a lot actually, but i will still call it pretty tiring shit jobs. . went back to camp early in the night at 9pm, loaded all the barricades up the trucks, proceeded to the working place, slack a while, unload the barricades then deployed to the respective checkpoints at about 2am. . . that was where all the shits started. . i was the marshaller at one of this entrance to ECP somewhere in marina south. . it was a cross junction and pc only told me that vehicles can go anywhere they want except through the road i'm guarding. . . so that was how i directed traffic to either ways possible as long as they don't come in. . . i did my job and somehow with no apparent reason, i was getting scolded my taxi drivers again and again. . . finally when one of the construction truck driver stopped and told me that the road to my right which i was directing the vehicles to is a deadend. . . then i came to realise to reasons for all the scoldings. . . nevertheless, how the hell do i know, anyway my job is to stop cars from entering my lane, whether they wanna go which direction is none of my concern, these taxi drivers are sometimes too overboard. . . that was why i hated them, because even after i managed to get them to go only one direction now, they were complaining, scolding and making a big fuss about the blockage of the road. . . darn people, they spoke as though i'm the one who did that. . . it was tiring. . . i was deployed there for about 10 hours, handling and seeing all these kinda situations, coming across with all kinda fucker drivers we singapore have and i can say that nearly all of them are taxi drivers. . . it was lucky that i had one of the auxillary police there with me. . . we managed to click off well, entertained each other, and then i can have time to slack since he took control of the entire traffic control. . . it was actually from him i learn one or two things about these kinda traffic control thingy. . you did your job, informed them about the road closure and deadend ahead, if they still insist on proceeding or complain then it is their own business. . . but i still kinda can't stand it whenever people scold me unreasonably. . . feels like scolding them back yet can't do so. . . it is just difficult to turn a deaf ear to their words. . so aftering a tiring day of work, we only managed to get everything done and booked out at 3pm. . i had not even sleep for more than 30 minutes for the entire 24 hours. . yet still, i went out to k box and after that majong with rong, roy and jialiang. . i lost again in the majong. . . this time i'm the only loser. . . though i lost less than the previous time. . 13.50. . i really didn't know why, i felt i just lack the luck i need. . . i always managed to form the card to win, yet always failed to get the last card to make the win. . . frustrating. . . may be that just described my luck for this entire year. . . |
